Register your courses

The Brokerage Platform currently uses course data from three data sources:

• The National Learning Directory (NLD)
• The Supplementary Database (an extension to the NLD)
• The YH Suppliers Database (for bespoke training providers)

Transition period

We are currently in a transition period which is affecting the supply of data to the Brokerage service as described below:

• On 31 May 2010, The Skills Funding Agency (SFA) closed the NLD to new providers or updates to existing data. This is in preparation for release of a new service due in August 2010.
• The new NLD service will only hold data on providers with a SFA funding contract.
• Any data already added to NLD will be available to us on our data feed until August 2010, but no updates to this data will be possible. We will continue to use this data in this interim period.
• Private sector data will be collected by HotCourses.

Guidance for providers

• Funded providers should now add course details to the new SFA Course Directory. Please contact the SFA directly for help and advice with this. We hope to be able to access this data in August. In the meantime, we will continue to use the current NLD data. Please let us know if there are any critical amends to your current NLD data. You can check this here.

• Private Sector providers should add course data to the new HotCourses Directory. Please contact HotCourses directly for help and advice with this. We hope to be able to access this data in September. In the meantime, we will continue to use the current NLD data. Please let us know if there are any critical amends to your current NLD data. You can check this here.
  
  Note: If you are not currently on the NLD, please download and complete this spreadsheet and we will make your course data available to our Brokerage Advisors as an interim measure.

• Bespoke training providers should add training details to the YH Suppliers Database. Please contact YH Suppliers directly for help and advice with this.
